The Community Clinic of Shelbyville & Bedford County is a nonprofit, health care organization seeking to meet the needs of the working, uninsured, low-income adults of Bedford County by providing quality, preventive health care which is essential to saving lives, reducing disability, and lowering costs for medical care.
In 2010 we were able to serve 1200 persons in Bedford Co. That medical treatment is valued at $61,250 for office visits alone. This saved the local hospital at lease this amount in “write-off’ care. Lab tests and medical testing were performed at reduced rates also. Free medications given out were valued at over $180,000 in 2010.
