Since 2003, the Community Clinic of Shelbyville and Bedford County, Inc. has provided free, caring, and compassionate healthcare to the uninsured and low-income (at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level) adults of Bedford County, Tennessee. It is funded through donations, grants, fund-raisers, and the labor of its mostly-volunteer staff.

The dental clinic was approved for the Tennessee Safety Net Program on January 1, 2021.  The new dental facility opened in May 2021 and an Open House was held on June 11, 2021.

The Community Clinic is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors comprised of concerned citizens, medical community, Shelbyville City Council representatives, Bedford County Board of Commissioners representative, and Medical Advisory Board member.
